Procurement Officer Job Summary

Identify and assess vendors who provide similar services, products, spares, consumables, and initiate procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  2. Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  3. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
  4. Monitor and improve supplier performance, focusing on quality, delivery time, and pricing.
  5. Prepare plans for the purchasing of equipment, services, and supplies.
  6. Take ownership of procurement operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely delivery of materials.
  7. Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials from both local and overseas vendors.
  8. Evaluate vendor quotations to ensure alignment with technical and commercial specifications required for projects.
  9. Plan delivery of spares and services within stipulated average lead time.
  10. Prepare Purchase Orders for all spares and services above INR 10 Lakhs.
  11. Negotiate with vendors to finalize Purchase Orders (POs).
