Responsible Mica Initiative Job

Job Overview:

The Responsible Mica Initiative is seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Workplace Standard Auditor and Trainer. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities involved in the mica supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct gap assessments of mica processors and mines against the Global Workplace Standard (GWS) and develop corrective action plans to improve compliance.
  • Support processors and mine owners in implementing corrective action plans and monitor progress towards achieving RMI's workplace and due diligence standards.
  • Liaise with external auditing companies to ensure effective implementation of RMI standards.
  • Develop training content for auditors and conduct online or face-to-face training sessions to enhance their knowledge of RMI standards.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in International Development, Business, Engineering, Mining, or Social Auditing.
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain social and environmental auditing, particularly in the mining sector.
  • Proven expertise in sustainability standards and mining regulations.

Work Environment:

Candidates will be based in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, India, and will work closely with the Responsible Mica Initiative's governance bodies, executive team, members, and partners under the supervision of the Director of Programmes.
