We are seeking a seasoned full-stack engineer to spearhead the modernization of our legacy platform.

The primary focus will be migrating our legacy UI to Spring Boot microservices and hosting UI pages on AWS, while also driving code refactoring, upgrades, security, and resilience improvements, monitoring, and other operational enhancements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain highly available, resilient, and secure production systems on AWS Cloud.
  • Lead the migration of legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture
  • Oversee the upgrade of legacy Java applications to Spring Boot applications ensuring high-quality and secure code.
  • Ensure thorough testing, documentation, and quality-proofing of software to meet business and operational needs.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and implement effective resolutions.
  • Support production deployments, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor metrics and suggest improvements to logging, reporting, and alerting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams adhering to agile principles and participating in Scrum ceremonies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong expertise in Java and related frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and related frameworks.
  • Experience working with CI/CD practices, build, and deployment technologies.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding of security concepts and vulnerability management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
