Job Title: Senior Bridge Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bridge Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our bridge design department, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments of existing bridges and preparing reports based on your design experience with Steel Composite and Pretension/Posttension structures.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting feasibility studies for strengthening and repair
  • Preparing new bridge designs and strengthening designs to UK standards
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate design and health and safety standards and procedures
  • Carrying out design and assessment checks (Cat II or Cat III) and preparing drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within given deadlines

You will work closely with our senior engineers to ensure that all work is produced to specified design standards and that revisions are suggested as necessary. You will also utilize our technical library and information systems to assist design work and ensure only the latest version of British and European Standards are used.

A successful candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as a proactive approach to learning and development. Mandatory skills include Bridge Design, Eurocodes, and UK CEng.
