Job Summary:

This Senior Manager will be responsible for establishing and advancing observability monitoring and reliability practices across Enterprise Data Analytics Platforms. This includes ensuring end-to-end visibility into platform performance data pipeline health system availability and operational SLAs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design implement comprehensive observability frameworks to monitor performance reliability availability of EDAA data platforms services.
  • Define track key SLIs SLOs KPIs across critical platform components data pipelines.
  • Lead integration of monitoring logging tracing alerting tools to enable real-time insights root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with platform engineering SRE product teams to enhance observability coverage automate incident responses.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in telemetry collection dashboards visualization for operational excellence.
  • Oversee incident management processes post-mortem practices to ensure continuous reliability improvements.
  • Provide leadership tool evaluation deployment across observability performance management platforms.
  • Partner with security compliance data governance teams to ensure visibility into data usage lineage policy adherence.
  • Lead operational reviews reporting to highlight system health risks opportunities for optimization.

Skill Requirements:

  • 11+ years experience in platform engineering site reliability engineering (SRE) DevOps or observability roles.
  • Proficient with ETL Pipelines.
  • Strong expertise with observability tools platforms e.g Datadog Grafana Prometheus ELK Open Telemetry Splunk.
  • Deep understanding of monitoring distributed data platforms data pipelines cloud-native architectures e.g AWS GCP Azure.
  • Experience setting managing SLIs SLOs SLAs in high-availability environments.
  • Strong background in incident response performance tuning root cause analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration align technical work with business outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science Engineering or related field advanced degree certifications preferred.
