As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our data integration framework.

Key responsibilities include studying existing technology landscapes, developing spark jobs using Scala for new project requirements, enhancing existing spark jobs for ongoing product enhancements, and creating new data pipelines for developed/enhanced spark jobs using AWS Lambda or Apache Airflow.

  • Analyze data processing, integration, modeling, and reporting requirements to define data loading strategies considering volume, data types, frequency, and analytics specifications.
  • Evaluate the optimal balance between cost and performance for data solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and provide estimation, scoping, and scheduling assistance.

In order to excel in this role, you should possess strong technical knowledge and experience in big data technologies, cloud databases, programming languages, and orchestration tools. A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field is required, along with demonstrated continued learning through certifications or related methods.

This position requires strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and the ability to communicate persuasively through speaking, writing, and client presentations. You should also be able to work effectively in a self-organized and cross-functional team environment, iterating based on new information, peer reviews, and feedback.
