Job Title: Software Asset Management Specialist

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Software Asset Management Specialist. As a key member of our global technology consulting and digital solutions firm, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of software assets, including procurement, license management, compliance, renewals, and vendor coordination.

  • Software Request & License Management: You will process software requests via portals, validate license availability, assign licenses through vendor portals, initiate license harvesting or procurement when required, maintain accurate records of license assignments, usage, and compliance.
  • Contract & Renewal Management: You will track contract expirations using dashboards, coordinate with legal and procurement teams for contract reviews and renewals, ensure contracts are active and published before purchase orders are created, maintain documentation in systems for audit readiness.
  • Procurement & Purchase Order Process: You will create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in systems, collaborate with the Center of Excellence (COE) for processing, ensure all approvals are documented, track order status and update stakeholders accordingly.
  • Vendor & Communication Management: You will use shared mailboxes for vendor interactions, ensure communications are tagged to relevant tickets, coordinate with vendors for quotes, license keys, and order confirmations.
  • Software Deployment & Packaging: You will coordinate with engineering and IT teams for software packaging and deployment, track deployment status and update tickets, manage add-ons and plugin deployments via tools.
  • Compliance & Audit: You will conduct regular license usage reviews and reclaim unused licenses, ensure actions are documented for audit and compliance, support internal and vendor audits by providing accurate license data.
  • Dashboard & Reporting: You will maintain and update dashboards for tracking renewals and compliance, export and format data from systems for dashboard imports, use dashboards for team coordination and audit visibility.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field, 3-6 years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Procurement, proficiency in systems, strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance, experience with vendor portals and contract management systems, excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team environment.
