Data Systems Architect

We are seeking a skilled Data Systems Architect to design and implement large-scale data systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, building, and maintaining complex data architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design: Design scalable data systems on cloud platforms.
  • DBT Experience: Work with DBT to transform and load data into warehouses.
  • Coding Practices: Ensure secure coding practices are followed when working with sensitive data.
  • Data Science Knowledge: Develop and productionize machine learning models using data science knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 5-9 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Azure Databricks, DBT, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience working with retail offline and online data sets.
  • Ability to work with unstructured data and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data.
  • Retail industry experience is a plus.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based data architecture.
  • Proficient in DBT and data transformation techniques.
  • Excellent coding skills in languages such as Python and Java.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.
  • Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop and Spark.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices.
