Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Material Handling System Designer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop material handling systems for steel plants and power plants, including conveyor belt systems, silos, hoppers, vibrating feeders, screens, dust extraction systems, trippers, belt feeders, belt weighers, magnetic separators, bucket elevators, reclaimers, stackers, barge loaders, barge unloaders, truck loading/unloading stations, crushers, pneumatic conveying systems, diverters, slide gate valves, and lifting devices (hoist and EOT cranes).
  • Prepare process flow diagrams, schemes, and layouts for material handling systems.
  • Develop profile drawings, calculations, and general arrangement drawings for belt conveying systems.
  • Create technical specifications for material handling equipment, including reclaimers, stackers, screens, crushers, and feeders.
  • Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) or bills of materials (BOMs) for conveying systems.
  • Analyze and evaluate technical bids and offers for material handling equipment procurement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the material handling industry.
  • Proficiency in Auto-CAD and MS-Office.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IS/CEMA/ISO etc.).
