Senior Observability Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Observability Engineer with a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable observability platforms, driving adoption of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tooling, and embedding synthetic monitoring into modern service architectures.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building cloud-based observability solutions using AWS services such as EC2, EKS, and Lambda. They will also be proficient in Dynatrace APM and synthetic monitoring tools, with a strong understanding of hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient synthetic monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead the adoption of Dynatrace APM tooling, developing standardized instrumentation and deployment models.
  • Develop onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources, focusing on synthetic monitoring.
  • Integrate observability tooling to deliver unified insights, with a preference for Catchpoint and Dynatrace.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop custom synthetic monitoring solutions where necessary.
  • Contribute to open-source or internal observability tooling/standards for synthetic monitoring.
  • Drive documentation, training, and cross-team knowledge sharing to strengthen monitoring practices.
  • Collaborate with application teams to embed synthetic monitoring into new service architectures.
  • Partner with security teams on compliance, threat detection, and governance related to monitoring.
Requirements
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Synthetic Monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, EKS, and Lambda.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools, such as Catchpoint, Prometheus, and Grafana, is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
