Financial Operations Overview

Bhumi seeks a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Manager to oversee its financial operations, focusing on accounts payable, payroll, statutory compliance, and audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of statutory regulations and tax filings, as well as proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable functions, ensuring timely payments and staff reimbursements, and maintain vendor relationships.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including statutory deductions, in coordination with HR.

  • Lead the finance staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure effective financial operations.

  • Handle income tax and FCRA matters, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and timely submissions to regulatory bodies.

  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and support treasury functions to maintain financial stability.

  • Lead audit processes, ensuring timely documentation and responses to observations, while implementing process improvements across accounts payable, payroll, and audits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

  • 5-7 years of experience in financial management, with a preference for experience in the non-profit sector.

  • Proven experience in statutory compliance, accounts payable, payroll management, and audits.

  • Prior experience with donor reporting and trust/society accounting is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of statutory regulations (TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax) and tax filings.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books) and advanced skills in MS Excel.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Knowledge of financial reporting, vendor management, and process improvement strategies.

  • Ability to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.
