Healthcare Data Science Leader

Innovative healthcare organizations seek a seasoned data scientist to lead the development of predictive analytics tools, leveraging machine learning algorithms and data visualization techniques to personalize patient treatments.

This key role involves collaborating with business leaders and customers to identify pain points, design large-scale solutions, and define technical architectures for productizing machine-learning capabilities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in breaking down complex business problems into machine-learning challenges and designing solution workflows.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of artificial intelligence initiatives to improve patient health and wellness
  • Work with business leaders and customers to understand their needs and build scalable solutions
  • Define technical architectures to productize machine-learning algorithms and take them to market
  • Break down complex business problems into machine-learning challenges and design solution workflows
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in computer science or related field, with a Master's degree preferred. They should have at least 3 years of experience in data science, with a focus on healthcare experience being a significant plus. Key skills include:

  • Hands-on experience with Python, building enterprise applications
  • Deep understanding of classical and new-age NLP techniques, including transformer architecture training or fine-tuning
  • Experience with fine-tuning language models using techniques like PEFT, LoRA, and QLoRA
  • Proficiency in GenAI tools and techniques, including RAG, VectorDBs, and Agentic AI fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch and HuggingFace transformers
  • Experience with ML platforms, including Databricks, Azure ML, and Sagemaker
