Expert R Analytics Lead Opportunity

Cultivate a high-performing analytics environment by overseeing the execution of scheduled R scripts, investigating issues, and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactive Script Monitoring: Continuously monitor production jobs to ensure successful execution, identify potential issues, and take prompt action to resolve them.
  • Troubleshooting Expertise: Develop strong root cause analysis skills to troubleshoot script failures, pinpoint data or logic errors, and implement necessary fixes to guarantee output delivery.
  • Data Cleansing Techniques: Apply expert-level data cleaning techniques to handle raw or inconsistent production data, ensuring smooth script execution and minimizing data-related issues.
  • Business-Focused Reporting: Utilize R and SQL to provide various production data and reporting requests raised by business stakeholders, meeting their needs efficiently and effectively.
  • Technical Guidance & Team Support: Serve as the primary technical resource for the R Ops team, offering guidance and support in identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities to enhance existing R code performance, suggest enhancements, and collaborate with the team to automate or simplify routine tasks.
  • Collaborative Testing & Deployment: Work closely with development and QA teams to support testing, deployment, and monitoring activities for new script developments or changes in the production environment.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Mentoring: Train and mentor team members on advanced R coding standards, best practices for production support, database usage, and debugging techniques.
Qualifications:
  • Strong R programming skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ability to write efficient queries.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with data cleansing and preprocessing techniques.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
