Job Opportunity

The position of Mechanical Electrical Plumbing CAD Technician involves supporting the design and delivery of MEP services by creating accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.

This role requires close collaboration with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure coordinated, detailed, and compliant documentation that facilitates efficient project delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Work closely with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Verify that drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Assist in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
