Lead Azure Data Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with deep hands-on expertise in Azure and Databricks to join our team.

This is a senior technical role that requires efficiency, productivity, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Azure and Databricks to drive business value.
  • Harness the power of Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) for CI/CD and environment management.
  • Build and manage scalable ELT/ETL workflows with Databricks, Delta Lake, ADF, and other Azure services to streamline operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Databricks features and apply them to accelerate delivery.
  • Optimize Spark, SQL, and Python code for performance and scalability to ensure robustness and maintainability.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to build a strategic data ecosystem that drives business success.
  • Mentor team members to improve overall team capability and productivity.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround expectations.
Required Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 5 years hands-on experience in Azure & Databricks.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Databricks (Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, Workflows, Databricks Asset Bundles, MLflow basics, unity catalog)
  • Azure Data Services (ADF, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL)
  • Python, SQL, Spark (with proven performance optimization skills)
  • Strong knowledge of modern data architectures (Lakehouse, governance)
  • A track record of efficient delivery and helping teams accelerate execution
