Job Description:

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an EHS Officer/Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors. The EHS Officer/Engineer will identify and mitigate potential hazards, monitor compliance with legal requirements, and participate in the EHS committee activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, schedule and impart training to staff, visitors, sub-contractors, and workmen.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor compliance of legal requirements at the worksite and conduct periodical inspections to identify safety issues.
  • EHS Committee Activities: Participate in EHS committee activities and prepare EHS risk assessments and safe operating procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Prepare site emergency response plans and conduct periodic mock drills.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report EHS deviations to the project manager and maintain track of safety audits and inspections.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge in basic electrical, civil, and mechanical concepts, knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and IS 45001:2018 standards, and auditing skills.
  • Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Behavioral Attributes: Team player, assertive communication, time management, analytical skill, and multilinguistic ability.
Software Skills:
  • MS Office
