Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineering Leader to spearhead the modernization of our finance data platform.

This role involves architecting and implementing enterprise-grade data warehouse solutions in Snowflake, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance for finance and accounting use cases.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to transform complex business requirements into robust financial systems that drive insights, compliance, and long-term growth.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Architect and lead Snowflake solutions for finance and accounting use cases.
  • Own dbt data modeling for financial data transformations, lineage, and governance.
  • Translate complex accounting and financial concepts into technical designs and data flows.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting leaders to understand business drivers, risks, and reporting requirements.
  • Build and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
  • Ensure data accuracy, auditability, and compliance with financial reporting requirements and internal controls.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance across teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 12-15 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles.
  • 5+ years working with Snowflake (or equivalent MPP systems) and 3+ years using dbt.
  • Strong SQL expertise and experience partnering with Finance/Accounting teams.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and proven record of leading teams/projects.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and DevOps practices.
