Product Technical Specialist Role

The position of a Product Technical Specialist involves collaborating closely with the product team to conceptualize, engineer, and deploy cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectural frameworks and provide technology blueprints for cloud native journeys.
  • Design systems and services that operate on cloud platforms (AWS EKS/Azure AKS/Google GKE/RedHat OpenShift) to ensure cost-effectiveness, elastic scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Establish a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns based on the product portfolio.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research, data, and the "why?"

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in cloud architecture and development.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes' internal architecture, tools, and challenges around scaling at enterprise scale.
  • Expertise in setting up a Kubernetes cluster and designing end-to-end container management solutions.
  • Experience with key DevOps technologies including Docker, Cloud Formation, AWS Code Pipeline, AWS Code Deploy, and AWS Code Commit CI/CD services.
  • Good understanding of core architectural concepts including distributed computing, scalability, availability, and performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of deploying, managing, and monitoring AWS Cloud Infrastructure - EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, ELB, RDS, and setting up AWS Network Security.
  • Experience in Cloud formation to orchestrate various AWS services - VPC, EC2 Instances, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Lambda, and backups, patches, and scaling instances.
  • Ability to design HA / DR strategies and troubleshoot problems across different technology layers in a Linux environment.
