Talent500 is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial IT Project Management Specialist to join our team. This role will play a key part in the financial management of our organization, working closely with multiple technology development and delivery teams.

About the Role

This position involves leading or assisting primarily with financial management, including resource planning, baseline planning, and risk management. You will also be responsible for designing and developing visual dashboards using Power BI, Microsoft, and Tableau to integrate and simplify data consumption.

As a strategic partner, you will collaborate across key organizations such as Business, Finance, Human Resources, and Technology to drive efficiency and quality into broader operational processes. Your expertise in macro development and deployment will enable automation of repeatable tasks, streamlining operations and enhancing productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Accountable for financial management of the organization, including resource plans, baseline planning, and coordination of portfolio planning.
  2. Designing, developing, and deploying visual dashboards or reports that integrate, simplify, and streamline data consumption using Power BI, Microsoft, and Tableau daily.
  3. Proficient in macro development and deployment to add levels of automation to repeatable operational tasks.
  4. Collaborating across key organizations like Business, Finance, Human Resources, and Technology.
  5. Assist in Vendor management, the intake and development of Vendor contracts, working closely with business partners and the Sourcing Department to develop terms and conditions, pricing, and processes that support our customers.
  6. Leverage solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills to manipulate data from multiple sources to create business-centric reporting capabilities.
  7. Participate in team discussions with Leadership to identify and support process gaps, risks, and opportunities and own process-related takeaways.
  8. Responsible for development and operational management of key performance indicators and measures the drive performance across shared or key Technology processes.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated exceptional Tableau development and publication experience & Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills with ability to conveying complex or technical information in a manner others can understand across different levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team with management and technical support teams on highly visible, complex projects with respect to quality, cost, and timeliness.
  • Solid financial experience and management skills including resource planning, budgeting, future planning, portfolio planning, and risk/opportunity development identification.
  • Familiar with technology and tool trends, showing ability to integrate trends and best practices into solutions and strategic roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to effectively navigate in a highly matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with individuals at various levels.
  • Experience working with process engineering & analytics, using Six Sigma & Change Management (ADKAR) methodology (DMAIC, DMADV, Gauge R&R, etc.) and tools (Minitab) to analyze and optimize ongoing operational activities or find/improve root cause issues.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload.
  • Experience collaborating with and managing strategic vendor relationships across a variety of service offerings/categories.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Five to Seven or more years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of six years of experience in technology delivery and financial management, 4 years of leadership or the equivalent in education and/or work experience preferred.
  • Understanding of relational databases and tools such as Tableau.
  • PMP & Change Management Certifications are beneficial.
  • SQL maintenance and development a plus.
  • Experience working in a financial background/institution a plus.

Talent500 offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
