We are seeking a talented professional to fill the role of Data Test Automation Specialist.

Job Description

  • A high level of quality assurance experience is required, specifically in enterprise-level applications involving data engineering and data warehouse testing.
  • A good understanding of Azure, ADF, ADB, and Synapse is advantageous.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with automation of QA testing using Databricks, building reusable functions and classes.
  • They should possess strong skills in writing complex PySpark and SQL queries and be able to determine the types of testing that must be conducted (i.e., data validation, regression, etc.), including evaluating the testability of requirements and creating a comprehensive test plan that supports business and technological solutions being delivered.
  • The selected individual will have experience in testing multiple phases in medium to large projects.
  • They should have adequate experience and a clear understanding of data warehouse and data mart testing.
  • Experience in identification and test data preparation techniques is essential.
  • Extensive exposure to back-end/ETL testing with high-level SQL skills is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience working with large datasets and understand data quality frameworks.
  • Experience in data analysis, including profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation, in an IT operating environment is necessary.
  • Defect tracking experience is also required.
  • The ability to tune SQL queries, stored procedures, views, etc. for performance improvements is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams is beneficial.
  • Knowledge and experience in data masking methodologies and metadata management tools are advantageous.
  • The successful candidate must be able to multitask, adapt quickly to changes, and maintain urgency in completing assigned tasks.
  • They should possess a detail-oriented analytical mindset.
