Visual Style Director

Threye Interactive is a multi-award winning and Google accelerated gaming/simulation Development Company.

We are looking for an experienced Visual Style Director to join our team. As a Visual Style Director, you will be responsible for defining and developing the overall visual style, tone, and artistic vision for 3D projects.

  • Define and develop the overall visual style, tone, and artistic vision for 3D projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to a team of 3D artists.
  • Work closely with game designers and developers to ensure the art aligns with project goals and technical limitations.

You will define, develop, and maintain the 3D art pipeline and production workflow ensuring efficient creation and integration of assets. You will review all art assets and deliverables to maintain high artistic quality and consistency throughout the project.

Responsibilities:
  1. Create initial concepts, visual guides, and storyboards to communicate the artistic direction to the team and stakeholders.
  2. Ensuring all art deliverables are completed on schedule.
  3. Stay updated on industry trends, new software, and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices and innovate production techniques.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, animation, or a related field is typically required.
  • 8+ years of experience in 3D art production, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or senior artist role.
Skills and Expertise:
  • Expert proficiency with industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max).
  • Experience with texturing and sculpting tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • A solid understanding of real-time rendering engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
