PostgreSQL Database Engineer Role

This position is ideal for a highly skilled PostgreSQL engineer looking to work on complex database projects.

The successful candidate will be part of a global team responsible for managing and maintaining databases across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, develop, and manage pipelines using PostgreSQL and SQL Server technologies.
  • Implement quality control functionality for business rules in databases.
  • Migrate business rules from one DB technology to another.
  • Collaborate with Application and Databricks teams to develop robust data solutions supporting security initiatives.
  • Implement, monitor, and optimize data processes adhering to security and data governance best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues ensuring data quality and accessibility.
  • Document procedures and workflows associated with data pipelines contributing to best practices.
  • Share knowledge about latest PostgreSQL trends and techniques.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the system identifying possible security risks and implementing preventive measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent command of English.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience managing Database driven application and pipeline development using PostgreSQL and SQL Server Database.
  • Strong understanding of security principles in the context of data.
  • Ability to write debug and optimize data transformations and datasets.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing ETL solutions using PostgreSQL or similar technologies.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD set for database objects release management.
