Job Title: HVAC Design Engineer

Location: India

Experience: 5-8 years

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Hvac Design Engineer with expertise in Chiller Plants and VRV/VRF systems.

This role is ideal for engineers who have hands-on experience in designing High-Velocity Cooling Systems for commercial, industrial, hospital, and high-rise building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform heat load calculations and cooling load estimations as per ASHRAE/ISHRAE standards.
  • Design and select Centralized Cooling Equipment, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems, and other HVAC equipment.
  • Prepare 3D Layouts using AutoCAD / Revit.
  • Develop BOQ, technical specifications, design reports, tender documents, and equipment data sheets.
  • Manage documentation, submittals, and approvals with clients and consultants.
  • Coordinate with MEP teams (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), architects, and contractors for project integration.
  • Review vendor proposals and conduct technical evaluations.
  • Support in value engineering, energy efficiency improvements, and system optimization.
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing & commissioning stages.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC system design (Chillers, VRV/VRF, Air Distribution, Hydronic Systems).
  • Familiarity with MEP coordination and integration.
  • Proficiency in HAP / TRACE, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Carrier E20-II, Duct Sizer, Pipe Sizer or equivalent software.
  • Knowledge of standards/codes: ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, IS, ASME.
  • Good communication, documentation, and client handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
