Global Security Operations Manager

Job Overview:

Amazon’s Transportation team is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to develop and implement a world-class security program for our transportation network, ensuring timely delivery of customer items at the best possible cost.

The ideal candidate will partner with Sort Center & Delivery Centre Operations teams across various cities within a region to execute company security policies and provide security services and asset protection within assigned locations and surrounding geography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform risk assessments of sites and operation models, framing mitigation measures
  • Possess thorough understanding of central/state security issues and demonstrate excellence in implementing and ensuring site compliance with company security policies and industry requirements
  • Complete and/or coordinate final test and acceptance of site security systems leveraging access control systems
  • Establish and implement effective procedures/processes and prevention programs impacting losses, pilferage, accident trends, and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses
  • Perform frequent site security audits to identify non-compliance equipment and/or processes, implementing solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury
  • Evaluate guarding vendor performance, holding them accountable to deliver on expectations and meet or surpass service level agreement requirements
  • Builds and deploys security training programs
  • Serve as department's liaison and security subject matter expert
  • Effectively address safety and security incidents, including potential and actual workplace violence incidents per policy, and conduct testing of incident response plans
  • Enhance, track, and report on key performance indicators
  • Coordinate with support teams, such as Worldwide Operations Security Team, IT Security, and Network Engineering, as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum graduate degree with 10 years' experience in investigative or loss prevention or supply-chain field, preferably in a multinational environment, or 10 years of armed forces or law enforcement service experience with at least 2 years of corporate Security/Loss Prevention/Supply chain Experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced level of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office package
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with business tools and understand business metrics
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in managing stakeholders and vendors
