APAC Technology Risk and Control Leader

Leads the APAC Technology Risk and Control team, setting direction and strategy with regional executives and global risk leaders.

2. Set strategy for implementation, development, and maintenance of APAC Technology Risk and Control functions that support global risk and control framework and meet regional needs.">
3. Oversee day-to-day operations of APAC partners working with global technology risk and control functions supporting issue management, control assurance, control advisory, automation, risk analytics, and Chief Administrative Officer functions.">
4. Work with other Technology Risk and Control leaders globally to set directions and execute strategies that proactively mitigate risk and maintain an effective technology control environment within LOD technology organization.">
5. Lead 1LOD technology activities to support 2LOD risk and audit services across APAC regions, including 2LOD assessments, audit planning, fieldwork, reporting, and issue remediation activities.">
6. Work with other leaders within Northern Trust's technology management and three lines of defense to assist in timely addressing control gaps, identifying potential opportunities for improvement, and advising on control designs for large complex programs.">
7. Liaise with APAC Chief Technology Officer and APAC Technology Regulatory Compliance team to support regional technology control activities (including Risk and Control Self-Assessments), regulatory compliance, and responses activities across APAC regions.">
8. Be a member of the APAC Technology Executive Council and lead with other local APAC technology leaders to develop talent and constantly deliver the global IT operating model.">
9. Influence behaviors to reduce risk and foster a strong risk management culture in the region and globally.">
10. Inspire, lead, and develop a motivated, high-performing APAC Technology Risk and Control team. Promote inclusivity and diversity.">

• In-depth understanding and experience of IT risk management principles, information security, and/or IT audit.">
• In-depth understanding of assessments of IT-related processes such as information security, system development and change management, computer operations, and data protection. Experience with GRC systems (e.g., ServiceNow) is preferred.">
• Strong collaboration and relationship management skills in a global environment, including experience in executive management relationships.">
• Innovative thinking and leadership with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.">
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change, technology forward-thinking.">
• Previous experience in regulatory compliance is not required but preferred.">
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, finance, information technology, management information systems, computer science, or a related discipline.">
• At least 15 or more years of technology risk management, control functions, audit services experience, or similar experience with transferable skills. Financial services industry experience is a plus.">
• Certification in IT Security (e.g., CEH, CLPTP, CISSP, CISM) is preferred.">
