The role of QA Performance Engineer is pivotal in elevating our organization's capabilities by incorporating performance testing as a new dimension within the eCommerce agile Product Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain the performance testing capability, including identifying and implementing necessary tools, processes, and standards.
  • Combine established software automated performance testing strategies with emerging technology trends.
  • Perform load, volume, stress, and scalability testing of each application and analyze performance test results.
  • Develop performance scripts to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
  • Prioritize creation of test cases for performance based on risk and ROI.
  • Participate in manual testing activities as needed.

This position requires strong technical skills, including expertise in debugging performance-related issues and bottlenecks using log analysis, code analysis, and tools like JMeter. The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, API/webservice testing (SOAP, REST, FTP, JSON), operating system concepts, and containerization using Kubernetes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience working with automation testing, including UI automation and performance testing tools on web-based applications.
  • Strong programming experience with OOP programming languages such as Java or common scripting languages.
  • Experience in root cause analysis of performance issues using diagnostic tools like Jprofiler or JProbe.
  • A strong working knowledge of leading monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, JVisualVM, Splunk.
