Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Mechanical Design Engineer. As a key member of the design department, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems and equipment.

  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to determine design requirements, plan and execute precision mechanical equipment design, develop and test prototypes, and ensure that design specifications are met through close collaboration with manufacturing teams.
  • Meet with vendors and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Conduct thorough research to inform the design and engineering methods required for mechanical systems.
  • Plan and execute mechanical designs using computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and 3D CAD programs.
  • Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine designs, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing, guaranteeing quality and precision.
  • Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics in detail, facilitating transparency and accountability.
  • Liaise closely with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence and consistency across all phases.
  • Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals to ensure clear communication and understanding.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong portfolio of projects and accomplishments.
  • Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Rhino, as well as experience with 3D modeling and simulation tools.
  • Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles, including best practices and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Attentive to detail and critically minded, with a keen eye for quality and precision.
