About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Backend and DevOps Engineer in Bangalore. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work on various projects within Supaboard, contributing to the development of high-quality products for our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of existing server codebases
  • Adding features based on requirements provided
  • Working with multiple databases
  • Other tasks related to backend development

DevOps Responsibilities

  • Maintaining deployment of backend and frontend codes on AWS
  • Applying and maintaining region-specific deployments
  • Configuration of load balancers
  • Other tasks related to DevOps

Required Skills

  • Language and Backend Framework: Python with FastAPI
  • Data Sources:
  • Major SQL and NoSQL Databases including: Mongodb, Postgres, MySQL, Cassandra, Oracle SQL
  • Data-warehouses like Big Query, Snowflake, ClickHouse and Databricks
  • Understanding of how ETL solutions work
  • Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services for all deployments, with a focus on Elastic Compute Cloud, Simple Storage Service, CloudFront, App Runner, Cloud Formation, Cloud Deploy, and Route 53

  • Previous experience as a Backend Engineer, preferably in a startup environment prioritising speed and quality
  • Passion for building innovative software solutions that revolutionise industries
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ask questions, discuss ideas, and receive feedback
  • Positive arrogance towards skillset, humility to learn, and courage to fail and fix mistakes
  • Autonomy to work independently, with an open mind to feedback

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with building multi-tenant SaaS applications
  • Understanding of how data analytics works
  • Work with applications handling and scaling huge amounts of data for online and offline data use-cases
  • Experience working with GenAI applications
