Automation Engineer Role

 

This role is responsible for developing, maintaining and executing automated test scripts using various tools such as Selenium, WebdriverIO, Protractor, Cypress and Playwright.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation Frameworks: Build scalable test automation frameworks using Page Object Model (POM) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) with Cucumber, Mocha and Jest.
  • Database Testing: Write and optimize SQL queries to validate data in relational databases.
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI and GitHub Actions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with developers to identify test scenarios, acceptance criteria and coverage gaps.
  • Testing: Perform functional, regression, cross-browser testing.
  • Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze and troubleshoot automation failures, logging detailed defects in tracking tools.
  • Reporting: Report on quality metrics and continuously improve automation coverage and reliability.

 

About This Role

This position requires a strong understanding of automation frameworks, database testing and CI/CD integration. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Selenium, WebdriverIO, Protractor, Cypress and Playwright.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, WebdriverIO, Protractor, Cypress and Playwright.
  • Knowledge of database testing and CI/CD integration.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
