Baxter is revolutionizing kidney care and other vital organ support, and we're seeking a seasoned project manager to lead the charge. As a key member of our Renal business team, you'll provide cross-functional leadership on high-value projects from concept to implementation, ensuring quality is built into the design and driving clarity through prioritization and stakeholder management.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering product objectives, managing program risks, and driving quality and impactful products within budget. You'll work closely with resource managers, project leads, commercial leads, regulatory affairs, and technical teams to achieve tactical project goals and balance strategic organization goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end project/program delivery, including scoping, prioritizing, project planning, scheduling, execution, and monitoring.
  • Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams globally to achieve project goals.
  • Direct and manage projects with cross-functional teams spread globally, playing a leadership role in development, implementation, and launch processes.
  • Identify project risks, control them, and manage regular communication to stakeholders.
  • Be a change agent, driving agility in the organization and demonstrating a sense of urgency.
  • Understand and deploy processes to assure conformance to the Baxter New Product Development (NPD) process in an expedited manner.
  • Continuously review program progress, proactively identify risks, and collaboratively develop and drive risk mitigation efforts.
  • Interact frequently with all levels of internal management as well as across functions and business units.
  • Work with post-market teams to monitor and handle product issues in the installed base through the CAPA processes laid down.
  • Identify, select, manage, and work with vendors of specialized skills and/or goods as needed on projects.
  • Participate in interactions with customers and regulators concerning product design, systems, and processes.
  • Identify and manage continuous improvement projects that may span multiple sections or departments with the objective of achieving quality, reliability, and cost improvements.
  • Develop long-term plans for product development proposals.

Requirements

  • Experience in multiple capacities in handling electromechanical devices with embedded software.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issues.
  • Budget management skills – finance, resource deployment, and material tracking and utilization.
  • Strong visualization and reporting skills using latest and greatest project management and reporting tools.
  • Strong presentation skills and having had exposure to reporting out project status to senior management.
  • Vendor management skills – having had exposure working with external consulting firms delivering specialized skills and/or goods.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills required.
  • Sharp business, technical, and financial acumen.
  • Exposure to medical device or healthcare projects would be a definite plus with exposure to the following: medical regulatory standards: 510K, FDA/ISO/IEC.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Overall 10 years of experience with minimum 5 years in Program Management involving complex electromechanical hardware, firmware, IT, regulatory, security, product life cycle, and marketing.
  • PMP/Six Sigma certification will be an added advantage.
