Job Title: Expert Software Developer

Job Description:

As a seasoned software developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to develop high-quality code, ensuring that it is efficient, scalable, and meets the requirements of our clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on backend engineering
  • Proficiency in Scala programming language and its ecosystem
  • Familiarity with Akka framework and its usage in building scalable systems
  • 8+ years of experience in software development with a proven track record of delivering complex projects
  • Good grasp of functional programming principles and their application in software development
  • Experience with RESTful microservices architecture and its implementation
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including TDD using ScalaTest/Mockito
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL databases
  • Comfortable working with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
  • Clear communication skills with stakeholders, including team members, customers, and management
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure
  • Experience with build tools, such as sbt/Maven, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows
  • Skilled in Git and version control best practices
  • Proven ability to work in cloud-based systems and adapt to new technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a strong emphasis on finding creative solutions
  • Ability to design and implement clean, scalable solutions through sound architecture
  • Experience with Spring Boot and Scala
  • Knowledge of functional programming libraries, including Cats/Scalaz/FS2/Slick
  • Exposure to FIX/FpML/QuickFixJ protocols
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle and related business processes
  • Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments
  • Familiarity with Agile teams and Scrum processes
