Job Description:

This is a high-level role requiring the ideal candidate to lead database migration across various platforms, including Data Center and cloud environments. The successful applicant will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments.

The individual will be responsible for end-to-end migration lifecycle management, including assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration optimization. They will also define and drive migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring seamless delivery across all phases of the program.

The key responsibilities include leading the migration lifecycle, defining migration strategies, planning and executing database migrations, performing end-to-end database backup and recovery, implementing delta data synchronization strategies, using Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring and migration validation, and collaborating with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) implementation and management, Oracle Data Guard setup, switchover, failover, and role transitions, Rubrik for backup, restore, and DR integration, RMAN for backup/recovery, delta sync, cloning, and duplication, OEM for monitoring and migration validation, and hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and Azure (Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Recovery Vaults)
