Job Opportunity: Automation Engineer - Automotive Domain

This is a chance to apply your expertise in Python automation and embedded C programming to drive innovation in the automotive domain. As an experienced professional with 5-15 years of experience, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Python-based automation frameworks for embedded automotive systems.

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python scripting with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in automation and testing.
  • Extensive experience in embedded systems testing within the automotive domain with a minimum of 5 years.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies including unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Deep knowledge of testing life cycle, defect management, and test strategy.
  • Experience in code-level testing and debugging using white-box testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with tools and techniques for code coverage analysis.
  • Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.
  • Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Ability to derive and execute test cases from system/software requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with CAN (Controller Area Network), UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services), CANoe / CANalyzer.

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy in test case design and execution.
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR layered software architecture.
  • Experience with Git and/or Subversion.
  • Understanding of Unified Modeling Language for system design and documentation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks for embedded automotive systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure quality.
  • Perform requirement analysis and derive test cases.
  • Execute white-box and black-box testing.
  • Analyze test results and report defects with detailed logs.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards and safety protocols.
