Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to accurately produce material estimation reports from client-provided drawings and structural models.

You will undertake quality checks on team members' estimates, manage tasks, and issue reports to clients.

This role requires technical and estimation expertise, including face-to-face meetings to secure new projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the estimation process, tasks, and ensure timely and accurate completion of estimates and quotes for projects.
  • Assess estimation reports in relation to structural utilization.
  • Use fabrication software and models to produce estimates and discuss with clients.
  • Undertake quality checks on projects with defined parameters as per estimation process.
  • Identify opportunities for rationalization of project volumes with competitor knowledge.
  • Apply structural fire engineering principles to optimize product requirements.
  • Understand codes, standards, and associated technical basis for fire protection.
  • Consider new ways of working and ideas for implementation.
  • Train internal/external clients on relevant software and audit workings periodically.
Level of Autonomy:
  • Prioritize workload and support urgent estimate requirements.
  • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to procure relevant information for estimations.
  • Undertake quality checks on own and others' estimates.
  • Issue reports to internal/external clients and support queries based on issued reports.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
