Electro-Mechanical Assembly Documentation Specialist

Job Description

The Electro-Mechanical Assembly Documentation Specialist will create and revise comprehensive documentation for electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of technical writing principles, experience with CAD tools, and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other design software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and revise Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC), Service Bulletins, and Temporary Revisions.
  • Write procedures and functional descriptions by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit diagrams.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality guidelines.
  • Familiarity with structured documentation formats such as XML or SGML.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, IsoDraw CAD Process, or CorelDRAW for technical illustrations.
  • Strong knowledge of ATA 100, ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, and Simplified Technical English.
  • Understanding of S1000D data module structure and CGM/SVG integration for illustrations.
  • Experience working with CAD tools like CATIA V5, UG (NX), and SolidWorks to generate accurate visuals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Experience with CAD tools and design software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
