Software Development Test Engineer Role

The Impact You Will Have

In this position, you will ensure that all applications, system products, projects, and solutions meet defined enterprise quality standards. You will provide centralized, independent quality assurance services across the firm, including functional and non-functional testing for all products, services, and applications across businesses.

You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions, providing testing expertise, oversight, and direction to ensure the functionality of solutions and that design specifications are met. Your key focuses will include regression testing, browser testing, performance testing, capacity and stress testing, resiliency testing, environment management services, and infrastructure testing.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, maintain, and complete manual test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects to closure.
  • Prepare, maintain, and complete automated test scripts.
  • Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scripts.
  • Review test cases/automation approach with customer to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedback.
  • Track test execution milestones, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of related experience.
  • Hands-on experience in API/XML Testing and Selenium with Java.
  • Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries.
  • Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with front-end backend testing using Java and Selenium.
  • Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes).
