Chief Innovation Officer

We are seeking a Chief Innovation Officer to lead our research and development efforts. As the head of R&D, you will be responsible for driving innovation, product development, and technical excellence.

This role requires strategic leadership, vision, and collaboration with executive leadership to prioritize research projects and innovation initiatives. You will also be responsible for developing business cases for new product innovations and improvements.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing an R&D strategy aligned with overall business goals
  • Leading, mentoring, and managing the R&D team
  • Overseeing new product development, formulation improvements, prototyping, and testing
  • Monitoring R&D budgets, timelines, and performance metrics

Cross-functional collaboration with production, quality assurance, procurement, and marketing teams is essential to ensure product readiness and market fit.

You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with scientific, technological, and market trends, ensuring documentation, certification, and audit-readiness of R&D processes, and ensuring all R&D activities comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.

The key performance indicators (KPIs) will include new product development cycle time, R&D cost-efficiency and budget adherence, customer satisfaction and retention metrics, and number of successful product launches or patents.
