Lead 3D Art Visionary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and developing the overall visual style, tone, and artistic vision for 3D projects. They will ensure that all project deliverables meet high standards of quality and consistency.

  • Leadership and Mentorship

The successful candidate will lead a team of 3D artists, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve their full potential. They will foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Collaboration and Communication

The Art Director will work closely with cross-functional teams, including game designers, developers, and external partners. They will facilitate effective communication, present concepts clearly, and ensure seamless collaboration.

  • Art Pipeline and Workflow

The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and optimize the 3D art pipeline and production workflow. They will ensure efficient creation and integration of assets, staying updated on industry trends, new software, and emerging technologies.

  • Quality Control and Consistency

They will review all art assets and deliverables to maintain high artistic quality and consistency throughout the project. They will ensure timely completion of art deliverables and make adjustments as needed.

  • Creative Thinking and Problem-Solving

The Art Director will possess strong creative and critical-thinking skills to overcome technical and artistic challenges. They will incorporate best practices and innovative production techniques into their work.

  • Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, animation, or a related field is typically required, along with 8+ years of experience in 3D art production. The successful candidate should have at least 2-3 years of leadership or senior artist experience.

  • Technical Skills

The ideal candidate will possess expert proficiency with industry-standard 3D software, such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, and ZBrush. They will have experience with texturing and sculpting tools, like Substance Painter and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Soft Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven team management and mentorship skills, and the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams are crucial.
