The role of a physiotherapy principal involves overseeing the academic and administrative aspects of a physiotherapy college or department. This includes providing leadership in teaching, clinical practice, research, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing academic programs that meet University, UGC, and statutory council norms.
• Supervising curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and continuous assessment to ensure high-quality education.
• Mentoring faculty members in research, publications, and participation in academic forums to promote intellectual growth.
• Ensuring effective clinical training and integration with hospital services to provide students with hands-on experience.

• Managing day-to-day administration of the Physiotherapy College/Department, including budget management, resource allocation, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations (UGC, State Council, University guidelines) to maintain institutional standards.
• Recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating faculty and staff performance to build a cohesive team.
• Collaborating with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional bodies to establish partnerships and enhance learning opportunities.

• Building relationships with parents, students, and alumni to strengthen institutional reputation and foster a sense of community.
• Organizing workshops, CMEs, and conferences to provide students with exposure to new ideas and best practices.
