We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in a highly impactful migration project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for migrating our legacy UI to microservices and hosting UI pages on AWS, while driving code refactoring, upgrades, security and resilience improvements, monitoring, and other operational enhancements. Key focus areas include:

  • Building highly available, resilient and secure production systems on AWS Cloud
  • Migrating legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture
  • Upgrading legacy Java applications to Spring Boot applications ensuring high-quality and secure code
  • Testing, documenting and quality proving work to ensure software meets business and operational needs
  • Maintaining CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment processes
  • Troubleshooting issues to identify root cause and resolution
  • Supporting production deployments, operations and maintenance activities
  • Monitoring metrics and identifying ways to improve logging, reporting and alerting

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with Java and related frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with JavaScript and related frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, build and deployment technologies
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Experience working in production with AWS Cloud infrastructure
  • Understanding of security concepts and vulnerability management
