Project Procurement Specialist

At the heart of every successful project lies effective procurement.

As a Project Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and managing vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Your responsibilities will include identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and tracking orders to optimize costs and meet project timelines.

You will maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted with integrity and transparency.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably with a system integrator, and possess strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Sourcing: Identify and evaluate vendors for project and internal needs.
  • Contract Negotiation: Conduct technical evaluations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs.
  • Purchase Order Management: Prepare rate comparisons, obtain approvals, and generate accurate POs aligned with project/site requirements.
  • Order Tracking: Monitor deliveries, track shipments, and ensure timely material availability to support billing and project timelines.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain strong supplier relationships and collaborate with project teams post-order to address challenges.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure materials meet technical specs, quality standards, and project deadlines.
  • Reporting: Maintain procurement records and generate regular reports on order status and procurement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and good communication skills.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably with a system integrator.
