The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prototype, build and deploy solutions.
  • CRUD the backend code you own keeping maintenance, performance and security in mind.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and their ecosystem, and adopt ones that aid safe product delivery at speed.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to focus on high-value activities.
  • Take ownership of professional growth and team development.
  • Optimize applications for performance.
  • Initiate and manage change to drive business goals at speed without compromising safety.
  • Mentor full-stack developers on backend skills.
  • Provide problem resolution support, specifically for application issues, identify and resolve problems in application software, determine symptoms and ensure accurate problem definition.
  • Develop functional, architectural and other documentation as required for productive functioning of teams.
  • Represent the company as a brand ambassador through speaking engagements and conferences.
  • Be adaptable and open to changing responsibilities over time.
  • Lead the digital transformation of legacy applications.
