Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Job Description:

The role of a technical project manager is to oversee the entire lifecycle of projects from initiation to delivery. This involves defining project scope, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in company solutions and platforms.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to create project 'scope of work' plans and documentation.
  • Lead planning sessions to build consensus among project team members regarding task definitions, sequencing, and interdependencies across projects.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans.
  • Prepare project reports for status meetings as required.
  • Identify and address project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that arise during implementation.
  • Maintain workflows and deadlines to ensure all team members meet project goals accurately and on time.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders, e.g., vendors, associates, contractors.
  • Nurture strong customer relationships by handling questions, concerns, feedback, etc., with speed, accuracy, friendliness, and professionalism.
  • Ensure project plans deliver against service level agreements (SLAs) and other key performance indicators (KPIs) regarding costs, schedules, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a project management environment is essential.
  • Education/certification in project management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using web-based project management software, e.g., MS Project, Jira, etc.
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.
  • Demonstrable evidence of being able to collaborate effectively with others, multitask, and prioritize workloads for self and others.
