SQL Server DBA Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and executing SQL Server upgrade projects, including migration from legacy versions to SQL Server 2022. They will also design, configure, and manage Always On Availability Groups in production environments, as well as plan and implement database migrations to AWS with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute SQL Server upgrade projects.
  • Design, configure, and manage Always On Availability Groups.
  • Plan and implement database migrations to AWS.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL Server performance.
  • Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience upgrading SQL Server to 2022 in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups and other HA/DR solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS database migration (DMS, RDS, EC2, or hybrid solutions).
  • Proficiency in T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Solid understanding of backup/recovery strategies and database security.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell or automation tools for database administration is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
