Game Design and Animation Coordinator

We invite experienced professionals to lead and manage the B.Des. Game Design & Animation program.

The ideal candidate will bring strong academic and professional expertise in game development, animation, and interactive media, with demonstrated proficiency in both visual storytelling and technical skills including programming.

  • Coordinate curriculum delivery, planning, and quality assurance for the game design and animation program.
  • Develop and teach core courses in game design, animation, and interactive programming to foster a community of creative and skilled professionals.
  • Mentor students in game development projects and industry-linked internships to equip them with hands-on experience and real-world skills.
  • Integrate programming modules into course content to enhance the student learning experience and prepare them for careers in the gaming industry.
  • Lead collaborations with industry partners and support faculty development to create mutually beneficial relationships and stay at the forefront of the field.
  • Organize game jams, showcases, and co-curricular industry events to provide opportunities for students to showcase their work and connect with professionals in the field.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, JavaScript to develop games and interactive media.
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, Blender to create high-quality game assets and animations.
  • Understanding of animation workflows, storytelling, and level design principles to craft engaging game experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of gameplay mechanics, UI/UX for games, and interactive media to inform design decisions and create immersive experiences.
  • Ability to lead teams, coordinate across departments, and manage academic operations to achieve strategic objectives and promote a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Game Design, Animation, Computer Science, or related field to possess advanced knowledge and skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant academic or industry experience to demonstrate expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Strong portfolio of game/interactive projects and/or published work to showcase creativity and technical ability.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
