Job Description

The Technical Lead oversees the development and delivery of full-stack web applications using the MERN stack. This role involves leading a team of developers, architecting scalable solutions, ensuring code quality, and aligning technical deliverables with business objectives.

This position guides and mentors a team of developers, providing technical direction and fostering a collaborative work environment.

The Technical Lead designs and implements scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures for web applications using the MERN stack.

Additionally, this role involves writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code for both front-end and back-end components.

The Technical Lead is also responsible for designing and optimizing MongoDB and MySQL schemas, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.

Furthermore, this position conducts code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.

The Technical Lead collaborates with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

This role also involves overseeing the integration of APIs, third-party services, and microservices to enhance application functionality.

Moreover, the Technical Lead identifies and resolves performance bottlenecks in applications and databases.

Finally, this position leads Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with the MERN stack.
  • 2+ years in a technical lead or senior developer role, managing teams or projects.
Technical Skills
  • Expertise in MongoDB and MySQL (schema design, indexing, aggregation, and query optimization).
  • Proficiency in Express.js and Node.js for building RESTful APIs and server-side logic.
  • Strong knowledge of React, including hooks, state management (Redux, Context API), and component lifecycle.
  • Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and modern front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and containerization (Docker).
Leadership Skills
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a development team.
Communication Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
