Robotics Research Scientist

We are seeking a skilled Robotics Research Scientist to design, develop and implement cutting-edge robotics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop novel SLAM algorithms for real-time applications with high precision and accuracy.
  • Integrate data from various sensors such as 3D/2D LiDAR, RGB-D camera, IMU and wheel encoders to create robust sensor fusion pipelines.
  • Apply Deep Learning/Machine Learning techniques to enhance robot decision making capabilities.
  • Evaluate experimental results in simulation and real-world scenarios.
  • Maintain modular, well-documented codebases with scalability in mind.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to deploy solutions on physical robots.
  • Contribute to technical research and stay updated with the latest advancements in 3D Robot Vision and SLAM literature.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree or higher with at least 2 years of experience in a relevant field like Robotics, Control Systems, Mathematics, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of SLAM concepts (Graph-based SLAM, Visual SLAM, LiDAR SLAM, etc.)
  • Proficient in sensor fusion using Kalman Filters, Particle Filters or other probabilistic models.
  • Familiarity with classical Computer Vision techniques.
  • Familiarity with concepts related to ML/DL.
  • Excellent programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Experience with ROS and/or ROS 2.
  • Experience with deep learning-based localization or VO/VIO systems.
