Job Title: Inventory Planning Manager

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will oversee centralized warehouse operations, ensuring seamless distribution to offline centers. This role requires expertise in inventory control, dispatch planning, vendor coordination, and process improvement for efficient supply chain operations.

  • Inventory Management
    • Accurately keep stock of all categories by conducting regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical vs. system inventory.
    • Forecast demand based on academic cycles and regional requirements to ensure timely replenishment.
    • Manage replenishment planning with procurement teams to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Dispatch & Logistics Operations
    • Plan and execute pan-India dispatches within defined timelines to meet customer expectations.
    • Supervise packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation for accuracy to prevent errors.
    • Negotiate and coordinate with logistics/courier partners for timely delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for academic, non-academic, and regional teams to facilitate communication and resolve issues promptly.
    • Align with center heads on material needs and delivery schedules to ensure smooth operations.
    • Manage escalations related to shortages, delays, or damages to minimize disruption to the business.
  • Process Compliance & Reporting
    • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse, inventory, and dispatch operations to ensure consistency and compliance.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as dispatch accuracy, turnaround time, and delivery adherence to measure operational efficiency.
    • Prepare management information systems (MIS) and dashboards to provide insights on stock movement, pending orders, and aging inventory.
    • Identify areas for process optimization and cost efficiency to improve overall performance.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of inventory and warehouse management systems to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of pan-India logistics and dispatch planning to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to address supply chain challenges and improve operational performance.
  • Team leadership and vendor management capabilities to build strong relationships and drive results.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel or Google Sheets to analyze data and prepare reports.
