Senior Ruby Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ruby Developer with a strong background in designing and developing scalable microservices-based architectures using Ruby on Rails.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based architectures using Ruby on Rails.
  • Implement messaging/streaming platforms such as Kafka, ZooKeeper, and Thrift or similar technologies.
  • Utilize SOLR for search and AWS services (especially AWS SQS, hosting, and cloud infrastructure).
  • Work closely with the security team to implement bot mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure monitoring team to ensure smooth operations using tools like Datadog.
  • Provide exceptional debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Contribute to agile development environments with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails and experience with Sinatra.
  • Proven experience working with microservices-based architectures.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, ZooKeeper, and Thrift or similar messaging/streaming platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with SOLR for search and AWS services (especially AWS SQS, hosting, and cloud infrastructure).
  • Experience with security practices including bot mitigation.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring tools, preferably Datadog.
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
