Software Quality Assurance Specialist

The Software Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of software solutions. This role involves managing a team to test various applications, including high-stakes engineering software solutions and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and analyze tests to ensure product quality and compliance with requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal/external customers to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate progress.
  • Drive improvements in software quality practices and oversee the development of new test frameworks and applications.
  • Contribute to test process, tools, and methodologies, including manual and automated test execution.
  • Present test plans for approval prior to execution and work closely with the scrum team to drive and maintain tests in an agile environment.
  • Maintain troubleshooting mindset and ensure proper analysis and documentation of test results.
  • Actively participate in team retrospectives to recommend and implement improvements to test strategy and planning.
  • Ensure all testing deliverables are of high quality and compliant.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing / quality assurance with web-based applications, mobile applications, and client-server applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Hands-on experience in manual API testing.
  • Experience in automation testing using Selenium or similar frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills.
